Spotify controller T-Shirt is a fun-wearable designed for people who are willing to open up themselves to tactile playful interaction. The interface on the t shirt can be used to controls desktop Spotify (or any other music player) to play, pause, next/previous track and volume levels.
This project is a part of textile interface design workshop which I attended at OCAD university. The shirt uses microcontrollers and analog sensors for textiles.
This expressive wearable is designed to signal welcoming gestures. The hand on the t-shirt playfully spreads out and flaps when someone approaches the wearer.
Clothing plays a vital role in social communication; it can broadcast strong social signaling. The clothes we choose to wear each day influence how others receive us, and the kind of first impression we put out into the world.
